PRESCHOOL
AQUATICS CLASSES
 The
first half of the SKIPPERS Program, otherwise noted as “SKIP”,
is a parent/child water acclimation course focusing on providing
a positive parent-child experience while learning water safety
and beginning swimming skills through games and songs. This program
is grouped by age, not ability, and independent growth is highly
encouraged and supported. A parent or guardian must accompany the
child in the water. |

BIDDY
BARACUDAS (6-13 years)
Interested in competitive swimming, but not ready to commit to
the swim team? Biddy Barracudas will introduce the basics of competitive
swimming such as starts, flip-turns and the four competitive strokes – butterfly,
back stroke, breast stroke, and freestyle. This course is highly
recommended, but not required, for anyone interested in joining
the HAZY Barracuda Swim Team. Prerequisite for class: completion
of Guppy or comparable skills. |
HAZY
CO-ED SWIM TEAM (5-18 years)
Swimmers should have completed the Guppy swimming level at the
Y, or be able to swim length of the pool without assistance. Swimmers
will be taught the four competitive strokes – free style,
back stroke, breast stroke and butterfly, as well as the proper
starts, turns and finishes. Every swimmer participates in every
meet they attend. Practice has begun but there is still time to
register! Practice schedules available at Front Desk. |
